Human beings are social animals with a huge demand for interaction. The world has become a global village where the need for communication is continuously growing each day, and while it seems like many of the world population is overexcited and has embraced globalisation with passion, nonetheless, many individuals are enormously sceptical about globalisation and its features.

Hyper globalists are mainly perceived as individuals who have gladly accepted to be part of the global village where everything is unpredictable, change and adaptation are the rules of the game.

Globalisation is breaking barriers. It is easy and fascinating in today’s age to access, exchange values with a known and unknown audience just in your hands with few presses and clicks depending on which device one is utilising. According to a report from the American Psychological Association ‘Stress in America survey 2017, between the year 2005 and 2015, the number of adults engaging with social platforms has skyrocketed from 7 per cent to 65 per cent and among the youths, this has grown from 12 per cent to 90 per cent. This survey demonstrates how great is the impact and influence of social media on our lives today.

The easy and fast world. You might have heard some saying that ‘’time is money’’ if that statement has proven to be correct then “money is time”! Time is not to be spent rather be invested wisely in the most important tasks in our day-to-day life and it is one of the major reasons why those that are pro-globalisation are continuously trying to find ways to simplify life at all costs from the food and beverage industry to the banking industry. Hyper globalists want to achieve a lot in no time, hyper globalists are driven by the desire of a fast world where distance and effort are reduced to nought.

The sceptical people. Imagine residing in a place where at least every quart of the year there is a new iPhone or Samsung in the market? Should you always upgrade or buy the new version? There are quite several individuals living in our world today, who are sceptical about adapting to the fast world, and they are not open to this kind of changes.

“To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.”

Kofi Annan

We cannot be dying the effects and impact of globalisation in our communities today. No matter what is made available to us, we have to remain in charge due to our right to choose what is best for us. So, decide well and live well.
